Kindergarten Blended Model

The Deer Valley Unified School District will be offering incoming kindergarten students a new blended kindergarten experience beginning in the 2013-2014 school year. This is being done to better serve the learning needs of kindergarten students.

Students that are enrolled in the (tuition-based) Extended-Day program will remain with the same teacher all day.
The students will have access to innovative technology including, iPads, SMART boards, and more.

Sign up NOW......teacher staffing will be based on the 2013-2014 projected kindergarten and extended day enrollments.

(Half Day kindergarten will continue to be offered.)

Transportation will be provided for kindergarten students that live over 1/2 mile from school.

Attention 7th and 8th Graders

Are enrolled in Honors Language Arts?

Then you are required to complete summer work.

We are pleased to announce that Gavilan Peak School will be offering advanced classes in Social Studies and Science for the 2013/2014 school year. They will be in addition to the advanced Language Arts classes we are already offering.

Students are selected based on AIMS scores, grades and teacher assessments.

2013 - 2014 Open Enrollment

Open enrollment for DVUSD, an "A" rated district for two consecutive years, is November 26, 2012- February 1, 2013 for the 2013-2014 school year. Deer Valley families have the opportunity to select a school of their choice during this open enrollment time frame. Applications can be obtained on the disctrict website online (dvusd.org) or picked up at any DVUSD school. Applications must be completed and returned to the school you would like your child to attend by February 1, 2013. Applications received after this deadline may be granted if/when classroom space becomes available. School tours are available by appointment. So please call the front office (623-445-7400)
