Hello! My name is Hongmin Yu. I’m delighted to be teaching 5th grade students Math, Science and Mandarin in the 25-26 academic school year.
I was a high school teacher teaching Chinese language and literature for 23 years at a school with a great reputation near the Shanghai area in China. I have three years of Chinese teaching experience with elementary, middle, and high school students in Ohio & Texas. This is my 5th year in Gavilan Peak.
I value a positive growth mindset for students’ social-emotional learning and an academically inspiring environment; where every child’s potential can be discovered, and where every student feels valued and enjoys learning with their classmates.
I am looking forward to an amazing year filled with learning, growth, and fun!!
