Meet the teacher

Dear Parents and Students

My name is Meiyan (Juliet) Ma. My students call me Ma Lao Shi. I am excited to introduce myself as your child's kindergarten teacher for the upcoming school year. I am also very grateful to be working with Mrs. Tapp again this year.

I am passionate about early childhood education and believe that kindergarten is a magical time of growth, discovery, and new experiences. I earned my Master's degree in China and have been teaching for 8 years. My teaching p-hilosophy is to create a warm, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child feels valued and inspired to learn.

My husband, Mr. Yao, also teaches second grade at GP. Our son, Yi (Esrar)Yao, will be attending kindergarten. This is very exciting for me! In our spare time, we enjoy swimming, traveling, and watching movies.

I look forward to working with you and your children. It will be a wonderful year filled with fun, love and growth. Thank you!
