7th Grade Social Studies - Integrated Global Studies (1700’s to Present Day)

We'll cover history from the Scientific Revolution and Enlightenment all the way to the present day including major events like the American Revolution, The Industrial Revolution, WWI, WWII, and the Cold War.

We'll look at how societies and cultures in both the Eastern and Western parts of the world have connected and influenced each other and how events in United States history fit into these bigger global stories. Students will develop historical skills, use evidence to support ideas, consider different viewpoints, and become informed citizens.

7th Grade English Language Arts

We will focus on developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills to become more proficient communicators and thinkers.

• Reading: analyzing both literary and informational texts to understand themes, evaluate arguments, and cite evidence.
• Writing: creating clear and coherent argumentative, informational, and narrative pieces, with an emphasis on using credible evidence.
• Speaking & Listening: collaborating in discussions and presenting information effectively to different audiences.
• Language: mastering grade-level grammar, punctuation, and spelling while building vocabulary.

Our ELA program is designed as a progressive framework for students to build on their skills from previous years and prepare for future academic challenges. This career exploration course helps middle school students prepare for their future by exploring potential career paths and developing essential professional skills.Throughout the program, students will:
