Welcome to Middle School!! This is my 20th year at Gavilan Peak and my 31st year teaching overall. I have been teaching middle grades for most of my career, and they are my favorite!! I grew up in the Chicago area and moved to Anthem in 2003. I am married and have 6 children total. I have 4 sons, a stepson, and a stepdaughter, and 7 grandchildren, with one on the way in October. My boys all attended Gavilan Peak from Kinder through 8th grade!! This year I will be teaching 8th grade Science and Project Science which is focused on Forensic Science. I expect that students will be prepared for class and participate to the best of their ability. I communicate via email, so please ensure the parents' email address is correct in PowerSchool. In addition, we will have a middle school REMIND. I am the moderator of both the Middle School Student Council and the NJHS. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding these clubs.
