Mrs. Melissa Lasich
Hello Students and Families!
My name is Melissa Lasich (goes by MISSY), and I am thrilled to be working at Gavilan Peak again this year.
Our family is from Pittsburgh, PA, and we have lived here in Anthem for 18 years. I obtained my original teaching license in PA after I graduated from Allegheny College with a major in Psychology and a minor in Education. From there, I went on to teach Kindergarten, Second, and Fourth grades in both Pittsburgh, PA, and in North Carolina. This is my 9th year at DVUSD, where I have been a fifth- and eighth-grade teacher and now also a seventh-grade teacher. After school, I am busy keeping up with my almost-grown kids and my silly dog Mikki. I LOVE to read and bake in my spare time. Our family loves traveling and adventuring up north in Arizona.
