I am Ms. Zheng. The 4th grade mandarin/5th grade sage math/7th and 8th grade social studies teacher.
I am from Shijiazhuang, the capital of the Hebei province. Shijiazhuang has a population of 2.2 million. It is an important economic center and a busy transport hub. Unlinke Phoenix, it has four seasons. I love our winter a lot because it is not too cold, but it does snow. My family loves to go to the hot spring and the skiing resort. We go there every winter.
I graduated from College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University in the state of Minnesota. I studied elementary education and have a passion for teaching. I spent two summers teaching in a Chinese immersion camp at Concordia Language Village. In my junior summer, I studied abroad with Ed professors in Finland and Sweden visiting schools. In my spring break, I volunteered at a school on an Indian reservation at Red Lake, Minnesota. In college, I worked with the Language department assisting Chinese professors. Now, I am here at Gavilan Peak. I am super excited to learn and improve with my students.
I am an Asian food lover and I am a good cook. In my leisure time, I will either do restaurant hunting with my friends or cook and spend time with my cat Doudou..
