Welcome to Gavilan Peak’s Developmental Preschool!
Hello Preschool Families,
My name is Ms. Daniela, and I’m thrilled to be your child’s preschool teacher this year! At Gavilan Peak’s Developmental Preschool, we believe preschool should be full of joy, curiosity, and learning through play.
A Peek Inside Our Classroom
Our preschool day is filled with engaging activities designed to help children learn and grow. We have center time, where students can choose from a variety of hands-on activities like:

Building with blocks

Pretend play in our kitchen or dress-up area

Reading books and doing puzzles

Practicing early writing skills

Creating art with play-doh, paint, crayons, and more
We also enjoy snack time, outdoor play, and meeting/circle time with songs, stories, and movement. This year, we are implementing a project-based learning curriculum!
Supporting Every Child
In our inclusive classroom, we welcome children who need extra support from specialists as well as those who are typically developing. We are proud to include peer models in our classroom, students who are age-appropriate in all developmental areas and serve as positive examples for their peers.

We offer two sessions, Monday through Thursday:
There is no school for preschoolers on Fridays, as our staff uses that time for planning and professional development. We follow the district calendar for holidays and breaks.
For questions about our program, please contact the Early Childhood office at 602-467-6013. If you need to reach me directly, email is the best way, as I am unable to answer calls during class. For emergencies or early pick-up, please call the Gavilan Peak front office at (623) 445-7400.
